Mobilize Everything! – Technology and market demand are significantly changing the telecommunications landscape.  Consumers are increasingly choosing modern IP based technology to connect, defining the marketplace through their choices.  Carriers are responding by investing in and deploying advanced Internet-based networks to deliver more reliable, seamless and consistent connections.  Such investment opens the door to advanced services, applications, and mobilized processes that are changing the way business is done.

Nadir has spent many years of his professional career advising institutions on how to successfully ‘mobilize’ business processes and why, and what that means in terms of lowering costs, increasing productivity and creating revenue, as well as impacting the life and jobs of their constituents.

Nadir Khan has over 15 years of experience in the IT and Telecommunications industry, and has worked with educational institutions and enterprises all over the world.

Presently serving as an Application Sales Manager at AT&T, he is the subject matter expert on how wireless technology can impact Government and Education business processes. Nadir advises customers on how the right wireless strategies can be used to achieve value, such as lowering costs, increasing productivity or realizing additional revenue.

He has consistently represented AT&T at National Education conferences including EDUCAUSE, ACUTA and at Mobile Technology panel discussions hosted by the Booth School of Business.

He has regularly featured as a speaker at many prestigious States’ Technology Forums and Digital Education Summits. The documents and  professional papers that Nadir creates in his current position, which generally relate to the use of mobile applications in education, have been embraced by the community of users and often used as a resource by senior executives.

Prior to joining AT&T in 2004, Nadir has been responsible for evangelizing voice and data solutions for F500 and Education customers. Jeff Dalton, Research & Development Coordinator for Avetec, and Mark Romito, Director of External Affairs for AT&T, sit down with host Vicki Prichard to discuss the upcoming Business Technology Summit October 29th. For more information, visit www.ohbiztechsummit.com/

Why Should You Attend the Business Technology Summit on October 29?

Business Insight

This technology summit is rooted in the idea of bringing thought leaders and industry innovators together to discuss the latest insights for a given field. Discover technologies that you may not have known about or understood, successes of certain processes, and what’s ahead for the future of your business. Speakers are experts in their field and their advice will be insightful and reliable.  Knowledge is power.

Close Encounters With The Latest Technology

Hear from the speakers about how technologies are used, how to consider them in your strategic plans and how to implement necessary changes.  Learn about Return On Investment (ROI), implementation times, pros and cons.  Follow up by visiting the exhibits and in many cases getting hands-on opportunities to help further your learning.

Foster New Ideas/Enhance Your Strategic Planning

You may have already invested in tablets or mobile phones or be dabbling with social media or special apps, but find yourself dissatisfied with results.  Perhaps your customers are asking for faster delivery times.  Maybe your favorite marketing techniques are not as successful as they used to be.  Four or five hours at the Business Technology Summit will feed your creativity and fire up new ideas to help you improve your results.

Professional Networking

Never underestimate the power of face-to-face networking. The people you will meet at the Business Technology Summit are the decision makers to whom you might turn in times of need. These are the movers and shakers who can make the difference between a good quarter and a great one.  These are the folks who are helping your competition improve their revenues and profits!

Economic Development

The reason for the Business Technology Summit 2013 is very simple.  Recent history has shown that “communities with concentrations of knowledge-based industries have been able to create high-paying jobs, retain talented individuals and attract firms from other locations, thus sparking additional growth.”* Unfortunately, Midwestern communities in general have been lagging behind much of the U.S. in technology-based economic development.  We can change that.  A vibrant, growing economy is good for all of us in Greater Cincinnati.

Did We Mention Prizes?

We have been so enthused about the great lineup of speakers and the fantastic array of exhibitors for the Business Technology Summit on October 29 that we have forgotten to tell you about the prizes that are being offered.  Virtually every one of the exhibitors has indicated to us that they plan to offer prizes that we expect to award to attendees throughout the day.

Here’s one to consider:

Not every prize is going to be a free condo for a week and not everyone is going to win a prize, but how do you beat attending an event where you can get experts helping you sort out and find the best solutions for your business challenges and also have the opportunity to win a nice prize?

Time is running out.  Check out the Summit at http://www.ohbiztechsummit.com and then register for yourself and for other key members of your leadership team.  We expect all seats to be sold by October 22.  Don’t delay while your competitors are moving forward with their tickets!

Don’t Miss Out!

The countdown has started for the Business Technology Summit. We are twenty-eight days away from this historic event. However, for those who procrastinate, it is very likely that there will be no tickets available after October 22 or only three weeks from today!

With the outstanding line-up of speakers, the schedule that will offer four breakout sessions throughout the afternoon and an exciting group of twenty-eight exhibitors, we truly are dealing with limited space. There will be a maximum of four hundred fifty seats offered for the keynote speakers. Given the Early Bird sales in July plus seats reserved for sponsors, exhibitors and speakers, we are already down to about two hundred available tickets.

If you want to be there on October 29, you need to register now!

Where else can you go to get reliable information on such a wide range of strategy, technology and change subjects? Where else can you interact with hands-on exhibits of the software, hardware and other systems products your customers, your employees and your marketplace are demanding? Where else can you learn about mobile marketing, cyber security, big data, data analytics, social media, the cloud, and other similar topics all in one location? This historic gathering of experts has never been offered before in our tri-state area. You cannot afford to delay. Register now at http://www.ohbiztechsummit.com or call 513-576-5000 for an invoice for the staff you want to include for your company.

Don’t Miss Out!

The Sage Reinvention of Small Business Survey

The Sage Reinvention of Small Business Survey reports that 37 percent of small-business owners are working an additional 11 or more hours per week than they were five years ago. (That’s up from 24 percent who reported the same in last year’s survey.) Of those, 68 percent report working both longer days and more weekends.

In addition, many small-business owners are now taking less vacation time.

In addition to working harder, though, it seems small-business owners are working smarter. Sage asked what changes or improvements entrepreneurs had made to their businesses in the past five years to help them survive and thrive in a challenging economy. The top response was investing in technology (49 percent), followed by better cash flow management (48 percent), more use of mobile technology (44 percent), better inventory management (32 percent), more productive employees (30 percent) and better employee retention (18 percent).

Investing in Technology:  “Lagging technology slows you down and makes your business less competitive. Consider cloud software solutions, which simplify updates and often end up costing less than installing software on everyone’s computer.”

Better cash flow management: “Speaking of outdated, if you’re still using paper-based accounting, it’s time to get with the program.”

More use of mobile technology: “Tablets are getting cheaper and there’s a wider range to choose from than ever before. Your team probably already has smartphones, and you know how valuable they can be to your business, but tablets can enable you to do even more, such as making sales presentations on the fly or showing customers your portfolio of work.”

Better inventory management: “There are more online inventory management options than ever before. Work with your sales team to create sales forecasts that will help you predict demand and needs.”

Greater employee productivity: “Can you squeeze even more out of your employees? Yes, if you make sure they’ve got the tools they need to do their jobs (see “technology” above), the training they need to keep on top of changes in your industry and your business, and the support they need to stay energized.”

Seating Is Limited:  Learn More at the Business Technology Summit on October 29.  Only about 200 seats remain.  http://ohbiztechsummit.com
